Shapemeter rolls contract awarded

    Andritz Sundwig, based in Hemer, Germany, a member of international technology group Andritz, has received an order from Jindal Stainless Ltd, New Delhi, India, for the supply of five shapemeter rolls with tungsten-carbide coated surface for use in 20-high rolling mills in the production of stainless steel strip. Andritz Sundwig will also supply two shape control systems with two shapemeter rolls each for the 6-high mill stands of Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd, New Delhi, India, for the production of carbon steel strip. A further order was awarded to Andritz Sundwig for the supply of two shape control systems with two shapemeter rolls each for a customer in China. The shapemeter rolls are to be used in 20-high rolling mills for silicon steel strip at strip temperatures above 200C
